Zitahli Men’s Slim Wallet Review – Best Leather Wallet Under $35

In this review of the Zitahli Men’s Slim wallet, we will go into great detail about all the good and bad sides surrounding this very popular wallet, and help you decide whether it is the perfect fit for you.

Should you buy the Zitahli Slim wallet?

This is the perfect choice for people who prefer a leather wallet, with great capacity and a wholesome design that won’t burn a hole in your budget. Zitahli is not among the most known brands when it oms to wallets, but they sure know how to make a great budget option.

The wallet is made primarily for minimalists, old-heads, sporty guys, and professional drivers, but it will still suit most types of people in their daily life.

Buying

The best and probably the only place where you can currently buy the Zitahli wallet is Amazon.

Not many other stores support the brand. You might also find lots of the colors unavailable, depending on the time of purchase and delivery location.

However, these wallets are fairly popular and Amazon often restocks them in their warehouses. So you should be able to choose and purchase your favorite design in no more than a week.

Price and value

The wallet will usually come at about $25 – $35, depending on the color you want.

It’s a great value product overall, which puts the Zitahli at the lowest, budget-friendly end of minimalist wallets currently on the market. Granted, the lower price does bring some notable shortcomings, such as material quality, but the issues are not really dealbreakers.

It’s a great wallet for someone looking for a cheaper option packed with a lot of features and a larger capacity.

Shipping

Amazon offers free shipping that will get your wallet delivered in 7 business days.

You can also opt for the fast delivery option and get the product delivered in 1 or 2 business days for additional costs starting from $6 upwards.

Customer support

One of the biggest downsides of the Zitahli brand is its lack of a functional website.

The only way to contact the brand is through their Facebook page, and the brand doesn’t really have the best responsiveness there. Overall, you will have to rely on the Amazon contact team for shipping support, and on other customers for any product-related questions.

Warranty

All Zitahli wallets come with a lifetime warranty period.

As it does not have any breakable, wearable, or removable parts, the brand guarantees that you will be able to use this wallet for years to come.

Returns and refunds

Purchasing through Amazon gives you the option for a free 30-days return period.

You can return the product for any reason you want, in the original packaging, without any costs for shipping or restocking.

Zitahli brand

Zitahli is a brand focused on designing and manufacturing everyday wallets for men.

Capacity and functionality are their biggest selling points, oftentimes offering the most space out of any competitor on the market, all the while trying to keep the wallets extra slim and at an affordable price.

They describe themselves as being “in the business of making people’s daily lives easier”. Thus, all their products are made to be used in all the various situations you might find yourself in during the day: sitting, driving, roaming, etc…

Basics

The Zitahli Men’s Slim wallet is a bi-fold leather wallet, designed in a similar fashion to the traditional leather wallet with multiple compartments inside. Of course, the bulkiness and thick looks all the traditional wallets have are not present.

How to use the Zitahli Slim wallet?

The wallet does not have any tightening or buttoning feature, so using it is only a matter of unfolding it and picking out any cards or cash you need right in front of you.

However, it does have a nice pull strap feature, is placed on the outer wall, and is connected to one of the card compartments inside. The strap is used to pull up one card you’ve personally chosen as most important and most often used. It’s a fairly simple feature to handle and will likely not tear even after a lot of usage.

Unboxing

The Zitahli wallet comes in a simple, elegant, black box. It is nicely packed with some additional nylon covering.

The box is very nice looking and can be easily bought as a present for someone and gifted as such. Inside of it, you will find just the wallet and a few cards that show some of its features. There is no assembly or any additional preparation, so the item is ready for use right out of the box.

Quality

It seems like the quality is where Zitahli has sacrificed the most in order to keep the price low.

Materials and durability

The lifetime warranty suggests high durability and a long time of usage. However, most of the previous users have reported that, while the wallet will not break, its fabric will largely get damaged or wear off.

This is mostly because of the cheap leather this product is made of. Although it comes in two variants – genuine leather and the somewhat stronger carbon leather, both are easily susceptible to wear damage, and the fabric won’t look nearly as good after a few years.

Considering the price, it’s not such a dealbreaker, as this is something that’s more or less expected in leather wallets. Keep in mind that this is no high-end material and it may lose its shine after a while as well.

Known issues

Aside from the cheaply made fabric, not many other issues will pop up.

The cash strap has been reported as too loose by some owners. A few users have stated that it completely broke off after just a few months. However, all of those are issues covered by the warranty policy and you should immediately get in touch with the supplier in case that happens.

All other minor problems revolve around the overall cheap looks and design this product has. And, honestly, this shouldn’t come as a surprise, as this is one of the cheapest minimalist wallets currently on the market.

Aesthetic and design

As the name suggests, Zitahli Slim is made to be a thin, functional, and simple wallet. And although it has much more compartments than most similar minimalist wallets, it still holds its slim figure even when full.

Colors

The wallet comes in two designs, each from a different material and with multiple color options. The genuine leather one comes in the following colors:

  • Brown
  • Black
  • Black and blue
  • Black and orange
  • Retro
  • Matte black
  • Blue
  • Coffee

Meanwhile, the carbon leather design has the following color options:

  • Black
  • Black and orange
  • Black and blue
  • Blue

Clothing style fit

Whatever color you choose, the wallet will be a fairly dark-colored, simple, leather item that will look good with both sporty outfits and something more towards the business-casual look. You may find it hard to fit this wallet with your clothing if you often rock a strict suit-and-tie outfit.

The big color palette does offer some flexibility for all types of people. In my opinion, aside from the black and brown designs, all other color choices don’t look that great. It will look great with jeans, cargo shorts, casual shirts, and some less professional attire.

Features and functionality

Functionality is where the Zitahli wallet shines the most.

Weight, size, dimensions

The dimensions of the wallet are:

  • length: 4 in / 10 cm
  • width: 3 in / 7.6 cm
  • depth: 0.37 in / 0.95 cm

It is notably a bit longer than its competitors, but still one of the thinnest wallets out there. It comfortably packs a large amount of content inside while still maintaining a slim and light figure.

RFID blocking

The wallet is quite cheap but it still comes with RFID blocking, which is not something you will often find in wallets below $40. This is a great feature that prevents unauthorized scans of your cards and information theft.

However, we have to note that this feature is most probably only applied to the compartments inside, and not on the outer pockets. Users have mentioned using their hotel cards and other scannable items from the outer pockets with ease, so the RFID feature is implemented for the inner pockets only.

Smart pull strap

One feature that stands out the most is the smart pull strap in the Zitahli Slim wallet.

It’s a leather strap mounted on one of the card’s pockets which can be used to pull out a card from that pocket without opening the wallet itself. This makes for easy and convenient usage of your most-used cards without much effort.

The strap is placed on the outside so it dangles at one of the edges of the wallet. This can be a bit of an issue when you’re putting the wallet back into your pocket, as you can accidentally pull the strap and pick one card out. However, this is a rare occurrence and it can be avoided if you just put the wallet back in facing the other side.

Metal cash strap

Your cash bills will be stored inside with the thin metal cash strap that’s running down the middle of the wallet.

The strap is very small and convenient. It can easily hold lots of cash and is very simple to use. You won’t need any additional tightening or pulling in order to utilize it.

Unfortunately, this is the one thing that can actually break (the warranty should cover damages of this type).

Water resistance

Like most leather products, the wallet is not waterproof at all and will be damaged if it comes in contact with water.

This applies to both the wallet frame and the contents inside, as nothing will protect your cards and money from water intake if it drops in a pool or another body of water. It will probably be fine with any smaller contact with water such as lesser splashes though, as long as you wipe it off clean immediately and take out any important contents until it dries off.

How many cards can the Zitahli Slim hold?

As we already mentioned, capacity is where this item shines.

The wallet comfortably holds up to 12 cards in its many pockets. There are 2 pockets on the outside, holding one card each, and 3 compartments inside that you can fill up quite nicely.

There is an additional ID compartment as well, with a transparent window, reserved for your ID card. Take note that 12 is just the official amount Zitahli has recommended, but many users have stuffed even more cards inside of this wallet.

How much cash can the Zitahli Slim hold?

Even when it comes to cash bills, the Zitahli Slim offers lots of space for them as well. The official limit is 15 bills, but users have reported storing up to 20 bills inside the wallet.

Of course, you should take this number with a grain of salt.

The wallet most probably won’t hold its thin, slim figure if you stuff so many bills in it. And the strap is definitely not built to withstand such pressure.

Personally, I don’t think this is an important inconvenience, since keeping so much cash on you daily is a way of the past. The wallet is perfectly fine for the usual 5 or 6 bills you usually keep on you at all times.

Reviews and customer satisfaction

Overall, customers are fairly satisfied with this wallet as it’s one of the best-rated slim, minimalist wallets under $40.

It has built up an incredible 4.6/5 star rating out of a total of 19,000 reviews on Amazon. Most of the negative reviews have only complained about how the wallet didn’t suit their personal style, while not having any significant problem with the item in general.

At the end of the day, this is a budget minimalist wallet, one of the cheapest ones for sure, and it perfectly satisfies the needs of its owners.

Zitahli Slim vs Trayvax Original 2.0

If you’ve stumbled upon the Zitahli Slim, then you are most probably in the market for a budget-friendly wallet with a somewhat larger capacity. Thus, it would be best to compare it to other fairly cheap wallets that can comfortably hold up to 15 cards inside. A great example of such a wallet is the Trayvax Original 2.0.

The main difference you will notice from the start is the design of the two items. While the Zitahli manages to keep its elegant, leather design, the Trayvax model looks much less graceful. The frame comes off looking pretty poor, and this is not some wallet that you will like to wear in your office or take out anywhere you are supposed to look more professional or make an impression.

Granted, the Zitahli doesn’t offer any more grace when you take a deeper look into it, but the style and design are significantly better in the leather model.

When it comes to overall material quality, however, the Trayvax is miles ahead of the Zitahli wallet.

Trayvax has used aerospace-grade aluminum to build this model, keeping it all tight with a military standard paracord. Those are materials that will hardly ever break, tear, or wear off even after years of usage, and the same can’t be said for the leather Zitahli has used.

At the end of the day, with capacity and price being the same for both wallets, the main difference is between style and material quality. If you want a more elegant wallet that will easily wear off, Zitahli is your pick. But if the style doesn’t matter much to you, and you just want something you can use for ages to come, then I suggest you take a look at my Trayvax Original 2.0 review.

Who should not buy the Zitahli Slim wallet?

If you want your wallet to keep looking fresh for years to come, you may want to take a look elsewhere. The leather of this wallet may wear off significantly relatively quickly, and after 4 or 5 years of usage, it won’t look nearly as good as it did when you first bought it.

It’s also not a great choice for someone looking for a premium minimalist wallet, as the Zitahli Slim is obviously a budget option. The wallet’s mediocre quality is largely justified by the $30 price tag, but if money isn’t the main concern for you, I would suggest you take a look into some of the more expensive models that will surely be of greater value to you.

Finally, we already mentioned that this is not the most professional-looking wallet out there. It does have some style and elegance, but overall it is not a sufficient piece of accessory for a professional suit attire or any kind of high-end outfit. If your wardrobe looks like that, then you would be much better off getting a more elegant or premium wallet, such as Ridge Carbon Fiber, for example.

Who should buy the Zitahli Slim wallet?

The Zitahli Slim is a great choice for someone looking for a budget-friendly wallet that will hold about a dozen cards without any trouble.

It’s a great option to jump on if your old wallet got unusable, torn apart, or worn off.

The Zitahli Slim is a great alternative if you prefer leather wallets and don’t necessarily like the new, metal designs found in most other minimalist wallets today.

The bi-fold design is also something often overlooked. Many newer brands have turned to the two-plates frame and completely forgotten about this good, old, reliable folding design that many users love.

While it isn’t a great option for people often found in professional surroundings, the Zitahli is perfect for drivers and people spending most of their workday in a chair, away from their colleagues. The slim design allows you to keep this wallet in your back pocket without it being a burden to your back.

Finally, we have to mention that this is a great gift if you are looking to buy someone a new wallet for their birthday, or any other special occasion. It is casual enough to be liked by most types of people. It even comes in great packaging, ready to be given as a present.
