Basics

These are some of the things you should know before ordering the Dango T02 Titanium Tactical 3-Pocket Bifold wallet.

How to use the Dango T02 Titanium Tactical 3-Pocket Bifold wallet?

Just like most minimalist wallets out there, the Dango T02 Titanium Tactical 3-Pocket Bifold wallet is very easy to use.

The first thing you should do is place all of your cards in the available cards slots. This wallet has two card slots on the inside and two on the outside. Remember that the metal interior card slot is also where you keep your Dango multitool, so carrying the tool may limit the amount of card space available.

If you are going to carry your multitool, the next step is to place it inside the metal card slot. One thing to keep in mind is that this tool is sharp, so if you keep some cards in the same slot, you should consider putting a dummy card between the tool and your valuable cards.

If you need to carry any cash, you can use the wallet band to do so.

Unboxing

The wallet comes in the very familiar Dango metal case.

When you flip the case to the backside, you can see that the wallet comes with a three-pocket bifold and a single-pocket variant.

After opening the box, the first thing you will see is a card with the name of the wallet written on it. If you open this card you will see all the information about the Dango T02 Titanium Tactical 3-Pocket Bifold wallet, as this card serves as an instructions manual (not that that’s really necessary for an item this simple).

Right below the card, you will see the wallet itself.

Aesthetic and design

When it comes to the aesthetic of a wallet, Dango never disappoints. The Dango T02 Titanium Tactical 3-Pocket Bifold wallet has a simple and clean look, that almost anyone will love.

Design

This Dango wallet is designed to fit 16 cards, 4 in each slot. This number is lower if you intend to carry the Dango multitool as well.

The front of the wallet is a leather side with a card slot, that has a logo that’s engraved in the bottom corner on the left side.

When you open the wallet you will see a leather interior card slot on the left, and a titanium plate card slot on the right, which is covered by the silicone band.

The back of the wallet also has an exterior card slot, which is covered by the silicone band.

Colors

The Dango T02 Titanium Tactical 3-Pocket Bifold wallet is only available in the color black. This wallet is offered in two options:

  • titanium wallet frame, black silicone band, black genuine top grain 3 pockets bifold leather (holds up to 4 cards per pocket)
  • titanium wallet frame, black silicone band, black genuine top grain single pocket leather and silver mil-spec bolts.

Even if the only available color is black, you can always customize your wallet by choosing the color of the wallet band and the tether.

Wallet bands are available in:

  • safety orange
  • red
  • grey
  • black
  • green
  • blue
  • brown

The tether comes in:

  • jet black
  • green
  • sand
  • brown

With all these color options, you should have no trouble designing your wallet to your liking.

Materials

The T02 Wallet’s chassis is made entirely of raw titanium. This material is stronger than high-strength steel, and pretty much any other metal found in commercial products. It also weighs a bit more than aluminum.

It has a silicone band that goes around the whole interior of the wallet.

It also has genuine top-grain leather that is secured to the Dango Wallet chassis.

The wallet frame and backplate are made from CNC’d Titanium, which is very strong and of very high quality.

Finally, the multitool included in the wallet, as well as the wallet’s screws, are made of stainless steel.

Clothing style fit

This Dango wallet is made for the outdoor enthusiast who loves to keep things clean and needs to have tools easily accessible. The black color makes it easily adaptable to most wardrobes. It doesn’t have an over-the-top aesthetic, so it should fit just about anybody.

Features

This wallet has a lot of extra tactical features built-in, which make it all the more interesting. These are some of the things you should know about the Dango T02 Titanium Tactical 3-Pocket Bifold wallet.

Dango T02 Titanium Tactical 3-Pocket Bifold parts

Weight, size, dimensions

The dimensions of the Dango T02 Titanium Tactical 3-Pocket Bifold wallet are:

  • height: 2.75 in / 6.98 cm
  • width: 4.375 in / 11.11 cm
  • depth: 0.75 in / 1.905 cm

Compared to other minimalist wallets this wallet weighs a lot more. On average, minimalist wallets weigh around 2.5 oz / 70 g, while the Dango T02 Titanium Tactical 3-Pocket Bifold wallet weighs 6 oz / 170.09 g.

RFID blocking

Just like most minimalist wallets, the Dango T02 Titanium Tactical 3-Pocket Bifold wallet has RFID-blocking. You should consider a wallet with this function if you are afraid that a thief might try to steal your valuable information with a card reader.

Most of the wallet contents are on the inside, so the RFID-blocking should work efficiently unless you keep some cards on the outside.

How many cards can the Dango T02 Titanium Tactical 3-Pocket Bifold wallet hold?

The max number of cards that this wallet can hold is 16. However, some owners have managed to squeeze in a couple more. You can do this by placing a card or two in the wallet’s band, instead of cash bills. Keep in mind that if you decide to carry the Dango MT02 multitool, you will have less available space for your cards.

How much cash can the Dango T02 Titanium Tactical 3-Pocket Bifold wallet hold?

You should be able to fit at least 4-5 cash bills without the wallet becoming bulkier.

Personally, I don’t see this as a problem, since most minimalist wallets are made to hold small amounts of cash bills.

Water resistance

All the materials used to create this wallet should be able to handle water well.

Most of the things you carry will be placed on the inside of the wallet, which means that water won’t get to them easily. However, there are some spaces that might cause concern when it comes to water resistance. A good example is the exterior card slot. When you place cards here, a small part of them will stick out, and since the slot is on the outside of the wallet, it’s more exposed to potential water splashes.

Dango MT02 multitool

This wallet comes with a 14-function Dango MT02 multitool which slides into the cavity where the cards sit. It’s easy to engage the multitool, you just have to put it in the locks built into the wallet chassis.

This multitool includes tools such as:

  • hexes
  • paracord cutter
  • nail pryer
  • serrated/sharpened edge,
  • phone stand

Customer satisfaction

There are a couple of good and bad things you should know about when it comes to the Dango T02 Titanium Tactical 3-Pocket Bifold wallet.

Positive reviews

One amazing thing about this wallet is it’s overall built. All the materials used for manufacturing are of very good quality and can’t easily be damaged. They are resistant to scratches as well.

The card capacity is pretty big compared to other minimalist wallets. The Dango T02 Titanium Tactical 3-Pocket Bifold wallet can hold 16 cards, which is pretty much one of the biggest card capacities that minimalist wallets can provide.

Something that sets this wallet apart from other minimalist wallets is the Dango MT02 multitool. All Dango accessories are made to only fit Dango wallets. The multitool has 14-functions such as hexes, paracord cutter, nail pryer, a serrated/sharpened edge, and even a phone stand.

Lastly, it’s pretty cool that you can personally choose the color of some of the parts from the Dango wallet. Because of this, you can personalize your wallet to your tastes and make it fit the rest of your wardrobe better.

Known issues and problems

This is a minimalist wallet that has sharp edges. If you are someone that carries their wallet in their back pocket, you might find this uncomfortable. The Dango multitool is also very sharp, so you should think about putting a dummy card between it and your cards to protect them.

The leather that is a part of the interior of the wallet might also come with some issues. Leather as material tears more easily than other harder materials. If this is a problem, you should consider a minimalist wallet that doesn’t use leather at all.

Some of the small parts of this wallet, like the screws, might easily get lost. This problem can easily be overcome by simply ordering extra parts from the Dango store.

Lastly, some people might have trouble removing the cards from the card slots. If you prefer minimalist wallets that have a separate space for every card, there are other minimalist wallets that might fit your needs better.

How does the Dango T02 Titanium Tactical 3-Pocket Bifold wallet compare to other minimalist wallets?

All the extra features that come with this wallet make it a great competitor to some of the most popular minimalist wallets on the market. Here are some comparisons to help you understand how the Dango T02 Titanium Tactical 3-Pocket Bifold wallet measures up against the competition.

The Dango T02 Titanium Tactical 3-Pocket Bifold wallet vs the Dango D01 Dapper Bifold wallet

The Dango D01 Dapper Bifold is cheaper and can hold more cards.

Both of these wallets have some water resistance and RFID-blocking.

They are made out of different materials and the Dango T02 Titanium Tactical 3-Pocket Bifold weighs a lot more.

The Dango D01 Dapper Bifold is bigger in dimension but still thinner.

Both of these wallets come with the Dango lifetime warranty.

Check out my full review of the Dango D01 Dapper Bifold if it sounds like it would suit you better.

The Dango T02 Titanium Tactical 3-Pocket Bifold wallet vs Buffway Slim

The Buffway Slim is a leather minimalist wallet that’s a lot cheaper than the Dango T02 Titanium Tactical 3-Pocket Bifold wallet and can hold fewer cards.

When it comes to dimension and size, the Buffway Slim is smaller and weighs less.

Both wallets have some water resistance and RFID-blocking.

The Buffway Slim only has a 30-day warranty, compared to the lifetime warranty that comes with Dango wallets.

See my complete Buffway Silm wallet review if you’re curious about this wallet.

Who should not buy the Dango T02 Titanium Tactical 3-Pocket Bifold wallet?

People that don’t carry too many cards might not like this wallet. If you just carry a couple of cards, you won’t need all the extra space that this wallet offers. There are other minimalist wallets with smaller card capacities that might suit you better.

Compared to other minimalist wallets, the Dango T02 Titanium Tactical 3-Pocket Bifold wallet weighs a lot more. This might make the wallet hard to carry, and even uncomfortable to put in your back pocket.

If you want a budget minimalist wallet, this might not be the best choice for you. This Dango wallet isn’t the cheapest one out there, and if you are on a budget, you will likely want to see other options.

This wallet also comes with a lot of extra features, like the Dango multitool, that you might not need. So you might want to consider a minimalist wallet that doesn’t have so many accessories added to it, if all you need is something simple.

This wallet doesn’t have that much cash capacity, so you should consider another minimalist wallet if you want to carry a lot of cash.

Who should buy the Dango T02 Titanium Tactical 3-Pocket Bifold wallet?

I would recommend this wallet to you if you want a high-quality minimalist wallet. All the materials used to manufacture the Dango T02 Titanium Tactical 3-Pocket Bifold wallet are excellent. They don’t damage easily and are resistant to scratches.

You’re in luck if you want to mix and match colors to build your wallet. The Dango T02 Titanium Tactical 3-Pocket Bifold wallet has bands in a variety of colors that you may mix and match with the main wallet color to create your unique design.

Campers might also like this wallet since it comes equipped with accessories that could be useful in the wilderness.

If you carry a lot of cards, this might just be the wallet for you. This minimalist wallet has more than enough card space for your needs. It has the capacity to hold 16 cards, which is a lot more than most minimalist wallets can carry.

People who do sports might find the tether that comes with this wallet very useful. You won’t have to worry about losing your wallet when you’re on a run ever again.

Lastly, the design of this wallet would perfectly fit someone that likes to wear formal clothes.
