The wallet is made from one of the strongest metals on earth, but it is also very light and thin.
Its precise dimensions are:

The entire wallet weighs just around 4.8 oz / 136 gr. This may seem large compared to most wallets, but taking into account its storage, quality, and durability, this is only half of what I was expecting when I first saw it.
Bifold Adapter
The bifold adapter is the main feature of this version.
It is a folding piece of leather, consisting of pocket compartments designed to hold around 4-5 cards each. One pocket is put on the outside, while the other is on the inside of the adapter, connecting to the main chassis. The outer pocket is equipped with a small bottom notch, as is the main pocket of the chassis, to ease access to the cards inside.
The adapter uses a quick-release sliding plate to mount on the chassis, gliding along with the Dango’s patented rail system. This system allows the user to quickly and easily remove the adapter and use the chassis alone as a slim, one-pocket, aluminum wallet.
ID Window
Anytime you remove the adapter, you are left with an empty open pocket left behind on the chassis.
This pocket doubles as an ID window as well, holding one card on its rails (the card will not be RFID-protected). It’s a great feature for whenever you don’t need to bring along all your cards, as it gives you easy access to one of the 5 other cards left on the chassis.
RFID blocking
With a mostly titanium build, the wallet offers great RFID protection to its contents, which makes it one of the best RFID-blocking wallets available today.
However, the protection only applies to the main pocket of the chassis and the inside pocket of the adapter. The ID window and the outer pocket on the adapter do not have this feature as they are largely exposed to the outside.
Still, there is plenty of space in the two other pockets for your most important cards, with the outer one left for the ones without any important information stored on them.
How many cards can the Dango A10 Adapt Titanium Bifold wallet hold?
The wallet can hold 13 cards in total. 4 of them go in the chassis, while 9 are stored in the adapter’s pockets.
Removing the adapter will leave you with space for 5 cards, one put on the ID window that has been freed up with the removal of the adapter. With the adapter, this is one of the largest minimalist wallets regarding card storage. No amount of cards up to its maximum capacity will make it unusable, which is often the case with other such wallets.
How much cash can the Dango A10 Adapt Titanium Bifold wallet hold?
Carrying cash is a bit tricky, but still possible with the A10 Adapt Bifold wallet.
Each pocket reserved mainly for cards holds around 5 bills inside of it. This means that you can store more than a dozen of bills inside, although that would make all of the pockets full.
The best option is to leave two pockets for cards, which is sufficient for about 10 of them, and store cards inside the titanium chassis and enclose them with the adapter. This will leave enough space for around 5 bills, while still enabling you to carry all the cards you need.
Water resistance
The open frame with multiple holes around it obviously suggests that this wallet will not protect its contents from any water damage. Submerging the item in a pool of water will be damaging for any cards or cash bills inside, as will any splashing, so you should be careful around water.
However, the build of the wallet itself will be completely fine and non-damaged no matter how much water it gets into contact with. Both titanium and full-grain leather are water-resistant materials.
Accessories
Although the A10 Adapt comes with all you can ask from a wallet, Dango always has something more in store for you. For a small amount, you can easily accessorize the wallet with various optional add ons available on the Dango web store.
Backplate
The first thing that comes to mind is some backplate designs.
Easily attachable with just a couple of screws, you can customize the looks of the main chassis with some of the great-looking backplates Dango manufactured for the A-series wallets.
The plate comes in 4 different colors:
- metallic silver nickel
- walnut
- matte black G10
- carbon fiber
All 4 cost from $40-$50 and will add great style to the already well-polished bifold wallet.
Pocket clip
For an additional cost of $35, you can also buy the new, modernized Dango Pocket Clip XL.
The clip is easily mountable on any A-series wallet, such as the A10 Adapt, and has numerous features on it, such as:
- a belt or strap clip, so you can safely attach the wallet to your pants
- cash clip, holding up to 12 bills on it
- a bottle opener
- key hole, enabling it to act as a key chain
The clip is made from aluminum and comes in a similar color as the main chassis, helping it blend perfectly on the A10 Adapt Aluminum wallet.
Tether
No tactical wallet can be called tactical if it’s not designed to attach to something for extra safety.
For around $15 you can buy the great cobra-weaved paracord tether designed by the Dango team. The tether uses a metal clasp for attachments and will help keep the wallet on you at all times, even on some of your most wild adventures.
Chassis clip
We mentioned already that carrying cash is one of the biggest troubles with the A10 Adapt Bifold.
Therefore, Dango offers an option for adding an extra clip designed to carry a dozen of cash bills in it comfortably. The clip costs around $15 and is secured with just one screw, so attaching it shouldn’t be a problem for you at all.
Build quality
One major place where Dango has justified the premium price for the A10 Adapt Titanium is its build quality. Made from top-notch materials, this is one of the most durable, damage-resistant products coming from the wallet industry in recent times.
Materials
The main chassis is made from CNC machined grade 2 Titanium, one of the strongest, scratch and water-resistant metals used in the minimalist wallet manufacturing field, and the wallet is one of the best titanium wallets available today. The screws that hold the parts of the chassis together are made from steel.
The bifold adapter, however, found attached to the chassis is made from genuine full-grain leather. The sliding plate used to mount it on is polycarbonate, but it is still very sturdy and safe from breaking, even after continued usage. You should have no worries about damaging it if you constantly remove the adapter in instances when you don’t need it.
Known issues and problems
As expected for such a premium price, there really are no major problems with the A10 Adapt Titanium Bifold. It’s a top-notch wallet without any major flaws and it will serve its owners for a long time.
The lack of space designated for cash may be considered an issue at first, but as we said you can easily use one of the pockets for your bills and still have storage left for about 10 cards inside. It’s a self-absolving problem that just proves how easily adaptable the wallet is.
The price may be the one thing that may scare away potential buyers. Priced at more than $250, this wallet is five times more expensive than the average minimalist wallet. It is not something a lot of people can afford and just means that many pockets will not ever get to carry the A10 Titanium Bifold inside of them.
Unless you are a true fan of the minimalist design and can afford the price tag with comfort, I would suggest you take a look into some of the less expensive wallets with almost equally great functionality reviewed on our website.
Dango A10 Adapt Titanium Bifold vs Ridge Titanium
The biggest competitor of the Dango premium wallet is the Ridge Titanium. The brands have clashed hard with these two models, offering a lot of the same features, but taking two distinct approaches.
Both wallets offer roughly the same capacity – 12-13 cards, both are built from titanium and have similar customizing capabilities and lots of options to upgrade and stylize aftermarket. But the designs and prices of both wallets have some huge differences.
Namely, the Ridge Titanium will typically cost you $110-$125, more than half of what you are expected to pay for the Dango A10 Adapt. Additionally, the Ridge is built as an open, two-plate wallet, with a single pocket inside of which your store your cards. It looks nothing like the Dango, which has many more divided compartments and a greater focus on style, looking more like a simplified version of a traditional wallet.
To be completely honest, I was never sold on the two-plate design Ridge has used in most of their products. I like my wallet to be enclosed and more protected, and the cards easier to access. But if those are not your primary concerns, then do take a look into what the Ridge Titanium has to offer.
Who should not buy the A10 Adapt Titanium Bifold?
It should become obvious that this is a high-class wallet made for individuals with exquisite taste and remarkable respect for minimalist designs. But even if affordability isn’t a concern for you right now, there are some other reasons the A10 Adapt might not suit you best.
The first group of people that comes to mind are those who don’t carry a lot of cards or cash with them daily. The capacity of 13 cards this wallet offers is great, but utterly useless if you don’t have more than five of them. In such a case, I would recommend looking at the option of buying just the chassis alone, or some of the other Dango wallets that are designed to carry slightly fewer cards, yet still, look great.
